9/18/20 Community Update

Hello Wonderful La Tierra Families,

I wanted to update you on the state benchmarks that come out each Thursday.  All three benchmarks are continuing downward. Both percent positivity and hospital visits for COVID-like illness are less than 3%. However, it does appear that the cases per 100,000, which are at 23 per 100,000 are decreasing more slowly than we had hoped.  Hopefully this picks up quickly to get us in the range for return to full in-person teaching and learning as soon as possible.  We will continue to watch these numbers closely and to keep you all updated.  We are also continuing to think and plan for our return to full in-person school which will include implementing many health and safety measures such as masks, physical distancing, hand washing and sanitizing protocols.  Of course, as that time comes closer, we will continue to communicate all of the logistics to you so that everyone feels prepared and ready to be on campus.  I have attached COVID-19 School Benchmarks by Arizona County for your reference in case you are interested.

Just a reminder that today is the LAST DAY of Friday school and we will return to our regular Monday-Thursday schedule starting Monday 9/21.

Have a wonderful weekend!
Rhette & Julie
