Community Update 03/14/20
Dear La Tierra Community,
After careful consideration and review of updated CDC guidelines as well as closure decisions by several local school districts we have decided to close school effective Monday March 16. This closure will be in effect through March 26 at which time we will re-evaluate the situation and notify you of the on-going plan. This decision has been made due to mounting concerns regarding COVID-19 in the US as well as updated information from state and national authorities and the knowledge of multiple members of our school community spring break travels and unknown exposures. We understand that many of you may have questions regarding how this will impact our school year and student graduation, etc. These are questions that are presently unanswered. LTCS along with other Arizona schools will be looking to our local and state authorities for guidance in these uncharted waters. We will be continuing to work with these authorities and get you answers to these questions as they become available to us. We appreciate your patience and support during this time.
We have found several resources that may assist you in your conversations with your children and are supplying the links here:

The directors have made the above recommendations to the governing board who wil be holding an emergency session tomorrow morning to formalize this decision as per ADE requirements.
Be well and take good care of those you love.
